Dusek: We are about to see perhaps the two best tag teams in the world face off in just a few moments champ. What are your thoughts on this huge match up?
Bruno : With all due respect Frank, the Bulldogs are the TWA World Tag Team Champions, which makes them the best, and they are going to be facing the team they beat in the finials of the historic tag team tournament to become the champs. So there is no question in my mind, that the British Bulldogs and the Road Warriors are without a doubt the two best teams in the world. But there can only be 1 team in the number 1 spot, and until they are beaten that team is the Bulldogs.
Announcer : Ladies and gentleman before I make the introductions for the contestants, I'd like to introduce the men sitting at ringside.
Announcer : He is the manager of the Mid-South Wrestling Tag Team Champions (The Midnight Express) James E. Cornette.
Announcer : a man whom needs no introduction, Mid-South Wrestling Match Maker, the legendary Grizzly Smith.
Announcer : Ted DiBiase and Oklahoma's own, Dr. Death Steve Williams.
Announcer : These two men recently returned to Mid-South Wrestling and are currently the top contenders for the Mid-South Tag Titles, Rick Morton and Robert Gibson, the Rock n Roll Express.
Dusek : Oh boy would you look at these guys.
Bruno : Are those spiked shoulder pads they are wearing to the ring?
Dusek : The Road Warriors have got to be the most intimidating tag team to ever step foot in the ring.
Bruno : and boy is Ellering proud of these two monsters. He calls them his boys.
Dusek : there is a closeup of the Hawk.
Dusek : The Animal having words with the two tag teams outside the ring.
Bruno : These guys are awesome, they are the perfect combination of power, speed and well insanity, which is the one thing that The Bulldogs in my opinion lack.
Dusek : Well they just might surprise you tonight Bruno, I have followed Dynamite Kid throughout his career and his early years in Calgary tell me that he does in fact posses a mean streak.
Dusek : and here come the TWA World Champions.
Dusek : The Bulldogs have these fans on their feet.
Dusek : The two teams exchanges glances and words.
Dusek : The ref trying to get the Road Warriors to make way for the champs.
Bruno : and what you see around their waists is the symbol of tag team excellence in this sport, the TWA World Tag Team Championships.
Dusek : The Bulldogs now saluting the two top tag teams in the audience.
Bruno : Pleasantries aside, you know that the tag team combinations of DiBiase and Williams, and the Rock n Roll Express want what the British Bulldogs have.
Announcer : Ladies and gentleman this match is scheduled for 1 fall with a 60 minute time limit, and is for the Territory Wrestling Alliance Tag Team Championship's of the World.
Announcer : First the challengers, accompanied to the ring by their manager "Precious" Paul Ellering.
Announcer : At a total combined weight of 580 pounds, hailing from Chicago Illinois, Hawk and Animal, The Legion of Doom Road Warriors.
Announcer : and their opponents accompanied by "The Manager of Champions" Captain Lou Albano.
Announcer : At a total combined weight of 580 pounds, from Leeds England, they are the TWA Tag Team Champions of the World, Davey Boy Smith, and the Dynamite Kid, they are the British Bulldogs!
Dusek : Thunderous ovation for the champs.
Dusek : The Ref asking for the belts.
Dusek : The ref showing the Bulldogs the belts.
Bruno : for what could possibly be the last time.
Dusek : The ref now showing the belts to the Road Warriors.
Bruno : That's what its all about if you are a tag team in this business, the TWA World Tag Team Titles.
Dusek : Looks like Davey Boy and The Hawk are going to be starting things off for their respective teams.
Dusek : They lockup.
Bruno : Like two bulls going head to head.
Dusek : Davey Boy goes for the hip toss.
Dusek : But the Hawk counters and levels him with a clothesline.
Dusek : The Hawk soars into the air and comes down with a fist drop.
Dusek : The Hawk now with a reverse chinlock.
Bruno : a very painful manuever, as you and I both know Frank.
Dusek : The Hawk releases the hold for some odd reason.
Dusek : and he takes a cheap shot at the Dynamite Kid.
Bruno : uncalled, unsportsmanlike, and unnecessary.
Dusek : Dynamite was baited into the ring.
Dusek : and the ref cuts him off.
Bruno : With the ref distracted the Road Warriors now are able to use a double team attack on Davey Boy, as The Animal is climbing the ropes.
Dusek : a big powerslam by The Hawk.
Dusek : and The Hawk want's Animal to fly.
Dusek : and he does, and connects with a knee drop from the middle turnbuckle.
Dusek : and the ref finally gets Dynamite back into his corner, but the damage has been done.
Bruno : Dynamite let his temper get the best of him, and his partner suffered because of it. He has to get his temper under control if he wants to retain those tag titles.
Dusek : The Hawk now going for the pin.
Dusek : and a 1....2.....
Dusek : Davey just barely kicks out.
Dusek : The Hawk now makes the tag.
Bruno : and look how he takes Davey with him to make sure that he does not escape to make a tag.
Dusek : The Hawk has until the count of 5 to leave the ring, and he is taking full advantage of it, as he holds Davey so that The Animal can come off the 2nd robe with a clubbing forearm blow to the small of Davey's back!
Dusek : The Animal now locks in a camel clutch to further weaken the back.
Bruno : Say what you will about these two men being brawlers, but they know their wrestling.
Dusek : Davey shows the determination, and heart of a champion by climbing to the ropes to break the hold.
Dusek : and with Animal distracting the Ref, Davey is rewarded with an attack from Paul Ellering.
Dusek : and of course, Ellering is now looking the other way once the ref turns around.
Bruno : Animal continues to work the lower back, as he hits a side suplex on the powerful youngster from Leeds England.
Dusek : and Animal cuts off the ring, and makes the tag into the Hawk.
Bruno : I like what the ref just did here, he quickly got in the way of The Animal to prevent another double team. Finally some smart officiating here.
Dusek : The Hawk comes charging in with a big elbow smash to the back of Davey's neck.
Dusek : and he follows it up with a brutal neckbreaker!
Dusek : The Hawk makes the nonchalant cover.
Dusek : and Davey kicks out!
Bruno : up until Hawk failed to hook the leg, they have been doing everything right.
Dusek : Hawk with a back body drop on Davey.
Bruno : Davey has got to be in a world of pain, after the way the Road Warrior have been doing a number on his lower back and neck, and that back body drop affected both of those crucial areas.
Dusek : Hawk having words with Captain Lou.
Dusek : He hits the ropes as the ref checks on Davey.
Dusek : and Captain Lou shows the Road Warriors that he can play dirty too.
Bruno : Like the old saying goes, whats good for the goose is also good for the gander.
Dusek : it looks like Albano has given his team the break they needed.
Bruno : They don't call him the guiding light for nothing Frank.
Dusek : Davey makes the tag!!!!
Dusek : and Dynamite takes that head of steam and cracks it against The Hawks.
Dusek : and the Hawk is dazed.
Dusek : Dynamite now with a German suplex.
Dusek : and whats this, The Dynamite Kid still has his hand locked around the waist of the Hawk.
Dusek : He hits another German Suplex into a bridging pin.
Dusek : but Hawk rolls out, but Dynamite has yet to release the Hawks's waist!
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid is going for another German suplex!...
Bruno : great move instinct move here by the Hawk, he grasped the ropes.
Dusek : and Dynamite goes crashing down on the back of his head!
Dusek : The Hawk still reeling sees The Animal asking for the tag.
Dusek : and he makes the tag!
Dusek : The Animal comes running into the ring and quickly target the back of Dynamites head and neck!
Bruno : This guys name suits him, because he is an Animal.
Dusek : The Animal now going for a military press slam.
Bruno : Dynamite slips out the back door!
Dusek : Animal turns around and is greeted with one of Dynamite Kids pattend front dropkicks.
Dusek : Animal back to his feet.
Dusek : and is quickly floored by a heatbutt!
Dusek : The Dynamite kid with a brutal snap suplex.
Bruno : and did you see how he lifts his legs off the ground to give it that extra umphhhh!
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid with a lateral press, and a 1....
Dusek : and Animal kicks out at 1.
Bruno : what a display of power by the Animal, he just pressed the Dynamite Kid off him.
Dusek : Dynamite looks to hit the ropes.
Dusek : but in the process takes a shot in the lower back!
Bruno : and of course the ref was once again out of position.
Dusek : What a press slam by the Animal!!
Dusek : Davey yelling for the tag as he extends his hand to his partner.
Dusek : Animal with a clubbing blow to Dynamites back.
Dusek : The Animal with a vertical suplex, and Dynamite makes the blind tag to Davey, and Animal is unaware of it.
Dusek : Davey Boy charges the unsuspecting Animal with a crucifix pin.
Dusek : and the Animal kicks out.
Dusek : Davey with a big clothesline.
Dusek : and the Animal rolls under the bottom rope.
Bruno : The Animal getting a breather here, it's a cowardly move, but sometimes it's necessary especially when world titles are at stake.
Dusek : Davey wants to follow him outside the ring, but the ref keeps him in.
Bruno : Animal has words for Captain Lou, and Lou wont back down to anyone.
Dusek : The Animal with a boot to the midsection, and for crying out loud Albano has not been an active competitor for many years!
Dusek : Dear god, Animal just press slammed Albano to the floor!
Dusek : Animal laying the boots to Albano.
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid noticed what was going on and has just hit a diving move off the apron and onto Animal!
Dusek : Dynamite now checking on his manager and mentor.
Dusek : and the Animal is able to crawl back into the ring before the count of 10.
Dusek: Davey tosses Animal into the ropes and he hits a big powerslam!
Dusek : he goes for the cover. 1....2....
Dusek : and Animal kicks out!
Bruno : but he is wearing down.
Dusek : Davey looks to wear him down some more with a chinlock
Bruno : Dynamite needs to stop worrying about his manager and get to his corner.
Dusek : Animal remains locked in this hold and he is fading fast.
Dusek : Dynamite and a Ref helping Albano to the back.
Dusek : Animal gets to his feet and lifts Davey up for perhaps a side suplex.
Dusek : Davey counters with a headlock take down.
Dusek : Animal is able to get the hold broken by getting his foot in the ropes.
Bruno : Davey has to break the hold, but the damage is already done. Animal had to exert a ton of energy just to attempt to power out of that hold, then he had the sails taken from under him. Great piece of wrestling by Davey.
Dusek : The ref threatening to DQ Davey Boy if he does not release the side headlock.
Dusek : The Ref admonishing Davey, and in the meantime The Warriors make the tag.
Dusek : The Hawk and Davey lockup and Davey Boy with a drop toehold!
Dusek : and into a step over toehold with a crossface!
Bruno : I love it Frank.
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid makes his way back into the arena, and he attacks Ellering!
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid attacked Animal, but Ellering caught the Kid off guard and now is working him over.
Dusek : Animal with a powerslam on the floor!
Bruno : meanwhile in the ring Hawk reached the ropes to get a break from the STF.
Bruno : The Ref once again looks away from the action to see whats going on outside the ring, but to nobody's surprise he did not catch Animal and Ellering in the act.
Dusek : speaking of not catching them in the act, Hawk has just hit Davey with a low blow!
Dusek : Hawk now using the top rope to choke Davey Boy.
Dusek : The ref finally puts a stop to it.
Dusek : That has got to be one of, if not the most magnificent feats of power I have ever seen inside of a ring, as Hawk just pressed the 270 plus pounder over his head several times, before dropping him face first to the canvas!
Bruno : Freakish power!
Dusek : There goes Ellering with a boot to the back of Dynamites head!
Dusek : Hawk now jaw jacking.
Bruno : He should have been going for the pin.
Dusek : Hawk now perched on the second rope.
Dusek : he waited for Davey Boy to get to his feet, then nearly took his head off with a flying clothesline off the middle rope!
Dusek : Hawk now going for the tag and makes it.
Dusek : Animal now in and Ellering is yelling something at Hawk.
Bruno : What's he doing, he's on the top rope!
Dusek : Hawk soared off the top rope and hit that devastating flying clothesline onto Davey whom was perched up on Animal's shoulders!
Dusek : The Ref is ordering for the bell!
Dusek : and Douchabaggio is ringing it.
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid has just blasted Ellering with a chair!
Dusek : and inside the ring Animal is yelling at the ref.
Dusek : Look out, the Dynamite Kid is on the top rope with that chair..
Dusek : and he smacks it across the back of Hawk's head.
Dusek : Dynamite now turns his attention toward Animal.
Dusek : He inadvertently hit the ref with the steel chair!
Bruno : What the hell is going on here?
Dusek : The Dynamite Kid going after Hawk as Animal pulls him to safety.
Dusek: The Dynamite Kid is a man possessed.
Dusek : The Road Warriors having words with the Rock n Roll Express.
Dusek : Hey Lou Albano is back out, and he is rolling Ellering into the ring!
Dusek : Dynamite checking on his partner, whom I'm surprised is standing after that devastating move from the Road Warriors.
Bruno : It looks like Ellering is in no mans land.
Dusek : and Captain Lou is in the ring and he gets the attention of his men, as the Road Warriors look on from outside the ring.
Dusek : "Precious" Paul begging off, but is tripped by Captain Lou!
Bruno : I love it!
Dusek : and the bulldogs did in to the grub that Captain Lou set out for them!
Dusek : and the Road Warriors attempt to come to the aid of their manager, but the Rock n Roll Express, and DiBiase and Williams stop them!
Bruno : I love it!
Dusek : Davey Boy with a running powerslam, while Dynamite looks on from atop the 2nd rope.
Bruno : The Road Warriors still valiantly fighting to get into the ring, but their efforts are in vain.
Dusek : Dynamite hit a majestic flying headbutt from off the top rope onto Paul Ellering!
Dusek :and Albano tosses Ellering over the top rope!
Bruno : in other words he took out the trash.
Announcer : The winners of this match via result of a Disqualification, and still the Territory Wrestling Alliance Tag Team Champions of the World, The British Bulldogs!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dusek : There you have it folks, The Bulldogs still holding those belts high above their heads in victory.
Dusek : Well Bruno did you enjoy yourself tonight?
Bruno : You bet I did, the highlight for me was watching that loud mouthed know it all Paul Ellering go 0-3 then having him Precious face rearranged by the Dynamite Kid's flying headbutt!
Dusek : haha, I still have a strong feeling that the war between the Road Warriors and the British Bulldogs has only just begun.
